Quiet village, picturesque lake, friendly hosts, grand French-style hotel, excellent dinner, good value.

Loved the peaceful atmosphere and proximity to beautiful scenery and wildlife. The building was grand and the hosts friendly. Dinner was delicious, with lots of different options to choose from. The wine was excellent and great value for money.
The pictures of the hotel were very misleading, especially the ones of the external spiral metal staircase which was difficult to use and could be dangerous in the rain, making it impossible to enter. The bed was too small, which was a big issue for my taller partner.

Amazing location with beautiful surroundings and plenty of bird life. the hotel was grand and beautifully designed in a French style. the dinner served at the hotel was delicious and great value for money. the friendly dog added to the homely atmosphere.
Access to the suite was via a narrow winding staircase which would be difficult for those with mobility issues or larger suitcases. the bed in the suite may be too small for taller guests.

The accessibility to the room might be an issue for some guests as it requires maneuvering a narrow winding exterior staircase.
